1 West Dupont Wines and Liquors

Since March, 2015 we’ve been on the shelves at one of Dupont Circle’s premier destinations for off-the-beaten path beer, wine, and spirits.  1 West Dupont Wines and Liquors will be carrying Embitterment orange and aromatic bitters for the good people of NW D.C.!

Hill’s Kitchen

Since November 2014, our bitters have been on sale at Hill’s Kitchen in Eastern Market. Stop by and check out our products, as well as a full line of other specialty food and drink toys and equipment. Great for the seasoned chef and the casual sipper alike.

Pleasant Pops

Looking for refreshment?  Want something cool to chill you out? Stop by Pleasant Pops Farmhouse Market and Cafe on Florida Ave. and grab a bottle of bitters for your post-popsicle cocktail sesh.

Salt & Sundry

As of May, 2015, you can find our bitters next to a whole slew of other bitters at Salt & Sundry.  This lifestyle and home goods store is the brainchild of founder Amanda McClements, whose keen eye for entertaining and design provides customers with a hand-picked selection of excellent-quality wares.  It can be intimidating facing a veritable wall of bitters, but just look for our clean, fresh labels and the Embitterment logo.  Our products will be available at both their Union Market shop and their S Street shop, located near Logan Circle.

Union Kitchen Grocery

Love Union Kitchen products? Now you can find virtually all of them (food trucks and catering companies not included) under one roof! Just a few blocks away from Union Station, Union Kitchen Grocery is your one-stop shop for Embitterment Bitters and everything else you might need for your cocktail endeavors. Even better, Schneider’s of Capitol Hill (one of the best wine and spirits purveyors, period.) is just 2 blocks away. Drink on, DC!




One Eight Distilling

Starting in May, 2015, One Eight Distilling in Ivy City will be your one-stop destination for District-made liquor and cocktail mixers.  Join Alex Laufer, Sandy Wood, & co. in their decked out tasting room and sample some awesome vodka, whiskey, and (soon) gin.  Pair that with a bottle of our bitters, and you’re all set to head home and start experimenting!

Due South

Looking for awesome Southern cookin’ and cocktails in Southwest D.C.? Look no further than Due South. You’ll find Embitterment bitters prominently featured on the cocktail menu. See too many delicious choices? Ask your bartender for a recommendation–and ask for Embitterment by name!

La Jambe

One of the best places to enjoy a glass of wine and some charcuterie in all of D.C., La Jambe (meaning, “The Leg”) is a francophile’s paradise on 7th Street in Shaw, right across from Dacha, The Passenger, and Ivy & Cony. But they don’t stop with wine, cheese, and cured meats…they keep right on cruisin’ with some excellent cocktail options. Try the “Je Suis Charlie,” featuring a double dose of Embitterment Lavender Bitters!

Lupo Verde

If you’re hungry for some of DC’s best Italian cuisine and some exceptional, hand-crafted cocktails, head on over to Lupo Verde at 14th and T. Embitterment bitters are behind the bar alongside Francesco Amodeo’s line of DC-made Italian liqueurs and amari. Swing in for a sip tonight.

The Tabard Inn

Looking for the ambiance of a cozy hotel bar, complete with the warmth of wood and leather? Look no further than the Tabard Inn. Their Rammy-nominated beverage program now includes Embitterment bitters, sporting a distinctly local take on their fine selection of pre-Prohibition cocktails.

From the Farmer

In November 2014, we were featured in a special Thanksgiving deal brought to you by local co-op, From the Farmer.  Those who purchased The Gourmand meal kit received a bottle of our Aromatic Bitters for free! We make the bitters, you make the cocktails and From the Farmer takes care of the rest. Heck, they even deliver! We look forward to partnering with From the Farmer in the future as they continue to bring you the highest-quality products from DC and the great farmers outside the beltway.






Ceremony Coffee Roasters

Think bitters only mix with booze? False. Head on over to Ceremony Coffee Roasters in Annapolis to taste some meticulously-selected and roasted coffee and pick up a bottle of Embitterment bitters while you’re at it.

Franklin’s General Store

Attached to Franklin’s Restaurant in the Art District of Hyattsville, MD, you’ll find Franklin’s General Store. In addition to candy, novelties, and toys, you’ll find an exceptional selection of craft beers, wine, and yes…even bitters!  Embitterment is glad to grace the shelves of Franklin’s general store and contribute further delicious quality to an already-awesome selection.

Old Line Fine Wines and Liquors

Just up Route 1 from College Park and DC, you’ll find Old Line Fine Wines and Spirits, a one-stop shop for all of your behind-the-bar needs. Even better, while you’re there, you can head over to their bistro for a craft brew and sample from their extensive food menu.



Blackwater Distilling

If you’re on your way to or from the Eastern Shore on Route 50, be sure to stop by Blackwater Distilling on Kent Island and check out their delicious Rum and Vodka. It’s an adventurous operation with an eye toward bringing the illustrious history of craft spirits back to life, so show up with your taste buds and your imagination ready! Also buy our bitters there. That would be nice, too.

Lyon Distilling Company

Situated in the charming bayside town of St. Michaels, Lyon Distilling Company is an excellent place to stop in when you’re a little thirsty on the Eastern Shore.  Take a tour of their distillery, sample some of their excellent rum, and be sure to grab a bottle of Embitterment Bitters on your way out the door.  Try it in a rum old fashioned or a classic daiquiri!

White Tiger Distillery

Another Kent Island partner is White Tiger Disillery, where Itsara and his team are hard at work producing spectacular Laotian Rice Whisky (Lao Lao) and decadent Coquito. Your mind will be blown when you taste our bitters with their unique products after touring the facility. Stop by soon and check them out!
